Dezineforce launches HPC simulation appliance for ANSYS

Dezineforce has teamed up with ANSYS, Dell and Microsoft to offer a turnkey HPC simulation appliance, pre-integrated with ANSYS engineering applications. The appliance gives engineers fast and easy access to shared HPC-based simulation capabilities, improving productivity and resource utilisation, and delivering greater insight into product performance.

ANSYS develops engineering simulation software used to predict how products will behave in real-world environments. The Dezineforce HPC simulation appliance for ANSYS is delivered truly engineer-ready, requiring no local HPC management or configuration expertise. Pre-integrated ANSYS software enables engineers to work with familiar tools with the added benefits of HPC performance and scalability. Additionally, Dezineforce simulation manager tools optimise simulation scheduling and provide transparent control over multiple parallel simulations, making the most efficient use of available hardware and license resources.

The Dezineforce HPC simulation appliance is proactively monitored by a built-in appliance management agent, which constantly checks system health. The appliance management agent alerts Dezineforce about any issues via a secure outbound channel enabling Dezineforce to initiate corrective actions or repairs as necessary. The appliance management agent is part of the Dezineforce service management agreement covering the appliance hardware, operating software, application environment and performance, and provides a single point of responsibility and contact for the customer.

Dezineforce to exhibit appliance technology at SC’09

Dezineforce will be exhibiting at SC’09, the exhibition and conference devoted to high performance computing. The event will be held in Portland, Oregon from 14 to 20 November 2009. dezineforce will be exhibiting with Dell on booth 1535 and will use SC’09 to showcase the innovative appliance version of its design search and optimisation and decision support suite.

Earlier this year Dezineforce partnered with Microsoft and Dell to make its cutting-edge design search and optimisation and decision support suite available as a plug-and-play appliance to give engineering companies an alternative mode of access to the unique capabilities of the Dezineforce solution. The Dezineforce appliance allows easy on-site deployment of its advanced graphical user environment for simulation tools currently in production in the Dezineforce On-Demand service, integrated on a Microsoft and Dell high-performance computing (HPC) cluster.
